The Haven, open 365 nights per year, serves an average of 25 guests per night. Guests include people who have been homeless for years, often suffering from mental health or substance abuse issues as well as those who have lost their housing due to job loss or lack of affordable housing. The Haven partners with Grace by the Sea where staff do intake for the shelter and help Haven guests link to services such as the Housing Support Center.
Registration/Check-in
The Haven welcomes adults and children with a parent. Individuals may check in at either one of two locations, depending on the day of the week. The Haven is open every night from 7 PM to 7 AM – check-in beforehand at a location listed below.
Transportation is provided to and from the shelter. Evening snacks, a simple morning breakfast, and cots & bedding are provided.
