- Description
The Oak Harbor Youth Coalition (“OHYC”) is a diverse group of community volunteers who work to find ways of empowering and protecting youth. OHYC offers resources to help individuals with chemical dependency & addiction-related issues.
OHYC members use local, state and federal data to assess the needs of youth in the community, then work collaboratively with schools and other agencies to advocate on their behalf. OHYC’s goal is to identify local risk factors and replace them with protective factors wherever possible, to give the next generation the tools they need to make healthy choices and lead successful lives.
Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, 5:15pm at the Oak Harbor Fire Station on Whidbey Avenue. The public is always welcome to attend.
