Friendship House operates as a gateway for people struggling with homelessness to reenter society. Their unique service model places special emphasis on transforming a person’s crisis situation into an opportunity for empowerment and self-sufficiency.
NOTE: The address listed here is for the Women’s Shelter, which is also the Friendship House office.
Services
- Love and Laundry is open daily from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Locals are allowed to sign up to do their laundry at no cost.
- Clothes Closet Giving Room is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. If you are in need of (or would like to donate) clothing, please feel free to stop by.
- Dinner at the Friendship House Café is served from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. (Effective September 1, 2018 only dinner will be available to the public.)
- Hunger to Hope is a 12-week kitchen apprenticeship. If interested, please contact Jerry Shackette at 360-873-8022.
