The DSHS Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) offers vocational rehabilitation services designed to help individuals prepare for, get, keep, or advance in a job. The services one receives are based on an individual’s needs and unique circumstances.

- Vocational rehabilitation counseling and guidance
- Assessment services
- Individualized plans for employment
- Benefit planning services
- Independent living services
- Assistive Technology services
- Training and education services
- Job-related services

What to Bring
- Proof of identity and legal right to work
- Legal guardian or guardianship paperwork
- Copy of SSI/SSDI award letter
- Copy of high school IEP
- Copy of relevant medical/disability records
- Names & contact information for one’s medical providers
- Any questions about vocational rehabilitation
Individuals are welcome to bring a friend or support person to assist them in understanding the vocational rehabilitation process.
