Employment
Our employment workgroup engages in issues effecting employment after incarceration. From understanding our local businesses to hosting Second Chance job fairs, this workgroup is determined to help our community and its members be successful.
Education
Our education workgroup focuses its efforts on educating the community on the impact of incarceration. One recent project from this workgroup was the “$40.00 and a Bus Ticket”, an interactive play held at the Mount Vernon Lincoln Theatre. All proceeds went to support the Second Chance Scholarship at Skagit Valley College.
Marketing
Our marketing workgroup focuses on developing marketing material to increase community knowledge and support of the Skagit-Island Community Partnership for Transition Solutions. Increasing our network will strengthen our community.
Housing
Our housing workgroup contains experts in the field of community transition housing and works to bring more housing for the formerly justice involved.
Mentorship
No one should be released from incarceration without someone there to help. Our mentorship program is focused on ensuring no one is released from our correction centers without the help they need.
